Laissez-passer / Travel pass
Introduction
The Laissez-passer / Travel pass is a travel document of short duration, not exceeding one month.
In exceptional circumstances, a person not having valid passport or having lost its passport will be given a Laissez-passer / Travel pass to enable him to return to Morocco.
The identity and the Moroccan nationality of the applicant will be verified and established prior to the issue of Laissez-passer / Travel pass.
The pass is valid for a one-way (to return to Morocco).
If the applicant’s passport is expired, the aforementioned passport must be submitted to the consular service for cancellation prior to the issue of the Laissez-passer / Travel pass.
Required documents
- Any original document that likely proves the Moroccan nationality (ID or old passport);
- For the minors (under the age of 18 years who do not have an ID), a birth certificate, an individual record sheet of marital status or the family record book and must be accompanied by the legal representative who should provided an ID card and a residence permit;
- 2 identity card photos in colour on a white background (4x3cm),
- Report of loss or stolen passport, if this is the case;
Procedure
In the absence of documents that prove the Moroccan nationality of the interested party, an act of fingerprints will be carried out by the consular services or the local police force, accompanied by an information sheet with photo, with the proper Moroccan identification document.
