Repatriation of Deceased Remains

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad has implemented a multilingual (Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and German) computerized management platform to streamline the processing and monitoring of repatriation authorization requests for deceased persons to be buried in Morocco.

This platform allows funeral homes to submit their requests, track them in real time, and receive authorizations online.

The repatriation authorizations issued through the platform are either manually or electronically signed.

Authorization requests consist of an online form and supporting documents uploaded by the funeral homes.

Funeral homes are responsible for the authenticity of the attached documents and must provide the original documents to the Consular Service in case of disputes.

The issuance of a repatriation authorization for deceased persons to be buried in Morocco cannot, under any circumstances, be considered as an agreement by the Consular Services to cover repatriation costs.
