The birth certificate extract is issued to the holder, his ascendants, his spouse, his guardian, his testamentary or dative guardian or to any person authorised by him for that purpose.
The birth certificate extract is issued by the registrar of the place of birth declaration or transcription (in Morocco or at the consular services).
People born in Morocco can request their birth certificates through the website www.watiqa.ma and receive them directly at home.
Consular services may also request copies of this document for Moroccans living abroad, born in Morocco or other consular districts.

  • Family booklet, or;
  • A former birth certificate extract, or;
  • A former full copy of the birth certificate, or;
  • The place, the number of act and the year of declaration of the birth
  • Identity document of the applicant.
